A gift-filled shoebox is a simple way to share God’s love and the good news of Jesus with a child around the world.
Pick up a shoebox at the Compassion Hub, fill it with gifts, and bring it to River Oaks during one of the drop-off times below.
River Oaks is once again serving as a National Drop-off Location. We need volunteers to welcome families and collect shoeboxes during drop-off week. Check the schedule below, then click Volunteer to help.

How to Pack a Box
A shoebox gift carries a message beyond what it contains: every child is seen, valued, and loved by God. For many children, it may be the first gift they have ever received and an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus. Through this simple act, we also hope to bring joy and hope and remind each child that God knows and loves them.
- PICK UP A BOX
Pick up a shoebox at the Compassion Hub.
2. CHOOSE A GENDER & AGE GROUP
Choose a boy or girl in one of these age groups: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Mark your choice on the box label.
3. ADD ONE “WOW” ITEM
Choose one quality gift, such as a doll, a soccer ball with a pump, or a stuffed animal.
4. ADD OTHER GIFTS
Fill the box with fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
5. PRAY FOR THE CHILD
Pray for the child who will receive your gift. Include a personal note and photo to help connect with them.
